SILVER STRAND BEACH

This uncrowded beach is the local’s favorite in Oxnard. It’s a prime destination for local surfers and kayakers.


Visit the Silver Stand Murals and don’t miss the steel remains of the luxury ocean liner La Jenelle, which shipwrecked in April 1970.

Nearby Attractions Stop by the Channel Islands Harbor to grab a bite to eat or rent kayaks for the afternoon. Step back in time and learn stories of Oxnard’s past at the Channel Islands Maritime Museum.


OXNARD/MANDALAY BEACH

This pristine beach features grassy rolling hills, dunes, bike paths, and a playground for the kiddos. Rent a beach cruiser at Wheel Fun Rentals or bring your own and enjoy the scenic views. This is the perfect destination for your next family picnic or birthday party.

HOBIE BEACH

Make it a beach day and visit Hobie Beach on the Pacific Coast. This area is ideal for families with small children who want to swim because it’s protected from big waves. Hobie Beach is also a launch area for kayaks and stand-up paddleboards.

This small protected beach in Ventura County is located near Hobie Beach and Silver Strand in the Channel Islands Harbor. It’s perfect for families who want to swim with the littles. Why we Love it:
